One month of promoting Facebook Business pages on ProfileTree's own Facebook page has exceed our expectations in every way. We are delighted that so many people have taken the opportunity to promote their business - some have found new fans and followers, others new likes and better engagement and some have had orders placed. Amazing feedback that we love to hear - please keep telling us what you would like to see improved or what else we can do as a community to help promote each other to grow.

Every Sunday - we post that Share Sunday has started - this post is open for 24hours and invites you to share you business, an offer or promotion on our page.

What happens next is what you would like to happen to your Business Facebook page:
A) Page Advertisement Only - You are happy just posting your page - and do not really want to engage with the other business pages through Share Sunday. Your post will be seen by thousands of people. Last week (week 3 post) was seen by 15,282 people according to Insights - a big increase on the previous week and we are expecting the same this week. You may also get new likes and new fans. Minimal effort on your behalf.
B) Page Advertisement and Some New Likes - You post your business page and would like some personal likes on your page. As with anything you need to give to get! This can be done very easily. On the Share Sunday post - you will see a list of great business posting their details. Hover over the names of the ones you like - or all of them and a Like box appears. Press like and watch for its status to change, add the business to a list - a great feature Facebook offers. Secondly in the Hover box you can see a Message button if the business owner has activated this. (Check your own Hover box - allowing customers and fans to message you is a great way to build relationships - this feature can be switched on in your Page settings).
Press the Message button and send the page owner a message something like this " A personal like from XXXX Business Page via ProfileTree". This tells the business owner your page to return the like - thus helping each other out. Without telling the business page what your page is called - they have no way of knowing who to like back..so you may miss out on an opportunity for extra likes.
C) Maximum Impact - You post your page and then visit as many other pages as possible - view their page, look for good practice ideas you can use on your own page. What material has got the highest number of likes and shares, what apps do they use - how often do they post and when? All amazing questions that can help you refine your own strategy. You like and comment where you can and you leave a post on the business page that goes into their public messages - saying " A personal like from XXXX Business Page via ProfileTree" This tells the page owner you have been good enough to spend time on their page, engage with them and give them a personal like. We know in the spirit of Share Sunday and supporting each other that we will all return the love.
Some Points -
When writing your Business Page name use the method that makes it a live link - ie start with '@' and type the first few letters of your business name so Facebook can give you options to select. For more information on how to create a live link Facebook Business name click here.
Please do return the love - we know that not everyone can do this on Sunday and for some it takes to Monday or Tuesday to do this...but we are a close community and our purpose is to help each other. Anyone who does not enter into Share Sunday with this view should not post their business. We strongly believe that in helping each other we can create new opportunities and help grow our business.

No website links please - our focus today is Facebook pages. Fans should be able to find your website from your fanpage easily if they want to.
No Spam - get rich quick, get money now schemes, nor affiliate products. Only genuine business please.

As ever - Likes are one small measure of a business profile-engagement on a Facebook page is another and again these are only two points. For us today is not about Likes, but we agree with everyone - of course a few more Likes is 'nice' to have. The most important thing today is that as MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE see your Facebook BUSINESS page. Maybe a new customer will find you - or through a referral. Share Sunday is all about telling as many people as possible about your business, and a great form of FREE advertising.
We are very happy to say that we have just been delivered a complete order we placed with a business who we met via this Share event two weeks ago! Amazing quality - amazing service and we would never known about them..if they had not came via a shared post.
